Targeting glucose variability
The importance of a Target Glucose Range
Diabetes comes with daily fluctuations in glucose levels – that’s why agreeing a specified Target Glucose Range with your patients is critical to let them know they are doing fine if their daily ups and downs can be kept within these limits.
Although each person with diabetes will need a range that’s right for them in the context of their daily life and activities, it’s recommended that adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who are not pregnant, elderly or at risk should spend at least 70% of their Time in Range (3.9-10.0 mmol/L).1
